Investigating the Graphical capabilities of geometric Kufic font for minimal graphic design
This research, through the study of aesthetic, philosophical, and graphic concepts, investigates the geometric and harmonic characteristics of Kufic script (Muqatta‘ style). By analyzing these features in contrast with the principles of philosophical-artistic movements such as minimalism, and their influence on minimalist design elements, it aims to identify the shared foundations between Kufic script and the tools and space of minimalism, thereby establishing a functional design base. Given the nature of the field, the study will also include a practical section, where theoretical findings will be applied in execution—specifically through a sample project involving sculptural or object-based work.

Focus on values and strategy
This research investigates the structural characteristics of Kufic script and its potential integration into minimalist design. It aims to extract applicable design patterns, analyze the contrast between traditional calligraphy and modern minimalism, and explore visual editing techniques such as reduction, repetition, and rearrangement. The goal is to identify suitable spatial applications for geometric Kufic within minimalist contexts.

Aspect of Innovation
Kufic script has mostly been used for visual purposes, but its cultural and structural potential makes it suitable for minimalist design. However, few studies have explored its visual role in this context, focusing more on its content and meaning.
